I want to assure you this site is not dead, despite the loooong lurches between posts.
those with keen eyes may have noticed yet another side blog appearing. Now I know I have a habit of putting up these side projects, and not posting much on them, well this is soon to stop.
I'm Going to explain some upcoming changes, and how the site will now be run... how it was inteded to be run :)
- Lucky88th - This is the Hub, main page, of my blogging. It will be where my buying, gaming and tournament play will be posted along with everything Imperial Guard related. In the future I will be including unboxing videos, and painting tutorials (hopefully) This of course involves putting my ugly mug on camera, or at least my awful voice (I've got a voice for written word!)
- Hive Splinter Borlin - This is where Tyranid related modelling and painting posts will go. along with some minor list detailing.
- ZOMG!!! - This initially started as a game design "notepad" if you will to share my design thoughts and processes, as you can see I havent gotten very far with that, So I'm going to loosen it up a bit, It will now house anything Zombie related, including my thoughts on the ZOMG!!! game which really is a game I want to produce!
- Confederated Slates of Antarctica - This blog has stalled, but only because I havent painted anything apart from the beast that is Ajax. When I pick up Dystopian Wars properly, posts will resume.
- Hull Breached - This is the new guy, after a nailbiting Kickstarter Campaign, I am now awaiting delivery (the first in november, the second in March 2013) of Sedition Wars. I will go into much more detail nearer the time, but I can assure you I have Big plans for Hull Breached. I'm going to stretch my Writing muscle and essentially build a story through this beautiful game. Everything Sedition Wars related will be here.
- And another Blog still to come - A rubbish working title, I'm just thinking of a cool name for the site, when I do, I've already got models in a decent state for photography, so watch this space if you're a fan of Bladerunner, and Film Noir...
So what does the future hold?
Well I'm going to try and be less hesitant with the posts, I still havent finished my rundown of the Vonwar competition, which I better get a move on because I'm attending another one at the end of this month, Attrition (5th Ed rules), more on that to come soon.
Also, Sedition Wars isn't the only game I've been throwing money at recently. But I'll reveal that when it arrives in the post.
Now, It's Personal
Personally, Im Intending to move house in October (a nice Birthday present) The Girlfreind has agreed that we'll split the spare bedroom as an office (for her), and a wargames painting station/display area (for her.... no, me!)
I'm confident this will eventually lead to an improved production rate for myself, and anticipate my blog to reach what most bloggers would call "bare minimum" in no time at all! :D
My thoughts on 6th Edition 40k: "It can wait till I can be bothered to get it"
I'm genuinely excited for a new edition of 40k. but I'm in no rush to grab a copy, I can't see me needing to play a game of it for a few months yet, So I'll get the painting done first, then I'll worry about catching up nearer the end of the year, after a deluge of other games and projects.
So, to the future!
You see, I'm not dead, just so snowed under with so many projects I don't know where to begin, but with my Guard needing work for Attrition, and some large orders heading my way, I need to get on and do something. So until the next post (ETA: sometime soonish!)
Cheers for sticking around!
Also I'm thinking of doing some kind of prize draw... these always work well for fledgling blogs right?
ohhh what a tease!
